We will have a car so I am looking for any recommended lodging on the outskirts of Porto (so we don't have to drive with in the city), and just take public transport into to see the city attractions. Also any recommended day trips into the Minho region? We will be spending a couple of days in the Douro Valley following our time in Porto. Thanks for your input.
