Verify schedules @ scotturb.com for start and possibly wing it from there. #441 leaves Portela de Sintra Estracao @ 1120 and 1205. Arrive @ Praia das Macas about 20 minutes later. (There are other times, see schedule.) Have lunch at the wonderful Buzio, an established seafood restaurant. There is a beach option with surfers (tan individuals) having fried seafood with beers. If the tide is low, like us you can cross a tide pool and walk through the large ice plants and cliff sea views to Praia Grande. It is possible to walk around or catch bus back from Praia das Macs. The Grande is a larger beach, less services and a better surf for the surfers. If you are lucky you will catch #439 or #441. I do not know what bus I was on! We ran for it. Note, we were on the bus with a circular and a great bus driver! Check the route, there is a cool white building village on the circular. We got off at a stop in Colares, we did not note the name. The driver did let a school age boy on for no fee due to lost school bus pass! #403 came in about 15-20 minutes and off to Cabo da Roca. The ride was on narrow winding roads and a small village. Option for exploration! Cabo da Roca is a nice view through the tour bus participants. Now, if you would like to go Cascais be sure to check the destination of the bus. #403 can go to Sintra or Cascais. @ Cascais #403 last bus is @ 2040 #417 last bus is @2035. Dinner @ Cascais if you would like! Or like us we went back to Sintra and that uphill is now downhill! You can see the Sintra sites in the distance. Immogen is an excellent restaurant in Sintra.
