Hiring car and driver Porto to Sintra

Wondering if anyone has any ideas/suggestions regarding hiring a car/driver to go from Porto to Sintra with a short stop in Nazare to hopefully see a Big wave or two. Specifically, a reliable transportation company and approximate cost (if known) We will be leaving Porto on early morning November 20th. We were going to take train, but both my daughter and i have seen videos about the big waves and thought it might be fascinating to see. Also, anyone know if November is too early to see big waves and if it is worth the side trip.... we won't be riding, just looking!

The waves happen infrequently, when there is a big storm in the Atlantic. They do happen in November but there is no way to predict this far out. Surfline is a website that gives info but no more than a few days out. And, of course, when they do happen, everyone rushes up there to see them. Having a driver would be good because parking is limited. I have friends who drove up there, only to have the entire coastline socked in with fog the entire day.

It’s an easier said than done activity.

We had good luck using a driver from mydaytrip.com in Portugal to go from Lisbon to Coimbra and then Coimbra to Porto.

Thank you both so much. The information about hiring a car and the possibility of actually catching a wave (pun intended) is very helpful. It makes me feel okay about not going to the extra expense/effort of going to Nazare and just sticking to my original plan. thanks again.
