Hiking on the Camino in Lisbon and Porto

What is the best areas of town in Lisbon and Porto to stay in if we want to hike a short part of the Camino? We did this in San Sabastian and were able to do 5 to 8 hour day hikes and train or bus back.
Does any body have any experience with the hiking in these area. I'm on a Camino blog and will reach out to them as well. We just want to do a few hikes while we are in these areas. Any and all information would be helpful. Hotels, trains or bus information. Should we train to Porto or take a short flight?I'm planning for the end of May 2024. TY!

The Camino is well marked in Porto and going North so pretty sure it would meet your expectations. We did the Camino from Tui 6 years ago, and only got lost once-if you get confused, ask a local, however, they are more likely to yell at you and gesture violently point the way.
