Hiking in Lisbon and Oporto--Hikers in the group?

Hello, We are planning to hike some of the Camino in these area. We are looking for a town to town hike where we can bus or train back. We did that in San Sebastian and enjoyed the long hikes. I have the tourism information on some of this but was wondering if anybody in the group has had experience with long/ short hikes in the area on the Camino. What was your experience with the hike and the bus or train ride back if available.

I walked the Portuguese Camino in 2018, mainly along the coast. Heading there again in April, with 2 days on the coast and then switching to the central route. There is bus service to most towns I believe, but if you look on a site like Rome2 Rio it will show you bus and train options, as well as suggested prices for taxis.
Walking along the coast is easy, as it is a lot of boardwalks. You have a lovely view on one side, of the water, but the other side is all high rises. We really didn't like it that much, so we took a train from Viana do Castelo to Valenca and continued on from there. This year, will head inland at Vio do Condo and hope for more old churches, buildings, and better scenery.
Hope that helps.

I may be giving novice advice, but I watched a Sintra movie on Amazon Prime, Sintra - The Mountain of the Moon, and areas outside of Sintra, hills of Serra de Sintra, might be worth a hike. You would need to check into this further if interested.

It’s a National Park. It might be worth the effort.
