We will visit Portugal in April on a Douro river cruise. We have a choice between a walking tour of Porto (including the Ribiera district), or a guided tour of the historical center of Guimaraes.
Any suggestions as to which one to choose?

Guimaraes is a nice town, but it doesn't have as much to show as Porto. The castle is cool and fun to explore. The palace is mostly a reconstruction but well done.
Unless you will have time in Porto separately to explore on your own, I'd pick that tour.
