Guided tour to Sintra

I'll be doing a RS tour in September. I am arriving a few days early, traveling solo, and would like to take a day trip to Sintra. I know I can get there on my own pretty easily but thought it might be fun to take a tour and go with others. Does anyone have any suggestions on tours to Sintra?

Ellen,

My husband and I did the RS Portugal Tour September 2016. We arrived a couple days early and took the Viator "Sintra and Cascais" day tour from Lisbon. We did the Sunday tour. It was approximately a 7 hour tour. We met our group at Praca da Figueira in the morning. This was a 12 minute walk from our RS hotel (Hotel Lisboa Plaza) There were 8 of us, plus our excellent guide Manuel. It was an air conditioned van. It was unusually warm the first week of September.

We highly recommend this beautiful, fun tour filled with history. We paid about $47 each. We felt it was a fair price for a full day. Lots of photo opportunities along the way. There was an extra entrance fee to the Pena Palace. Discounted if you are a Senior!

Portugal was one of our favorite RS Tours! About half of the members of our tour were solo. Great group.

When I first moved to Portugal, I took a tour to Sintra with CoolTours Lisbon. I was also solo and very satisfied with the tour, guide, itinerary, etc. One thing I especially liked was the fact that they picked me up at my vacation rental and dropped me off there at the end of the day.
