Is it worth the time, 10 hours for full day trip,
to see where the Camino walk ends?
Has anyone done this?
With a guide on a bus tour for a day.
Not walking.
Santiago is a very nice city. The Camino ends in the main square by the cathedral. I wouldn't want to spend 10 hours just to see that.
Driving is about 2.5 hours each way, using public transportation is about double that. Driving, it is doeable and would allow you some time to visit the cathedral and plaza in front, walk around the city and through the market. Using public transportation would take longer than you’d be there and not the best use of time.
Santiago is wonderful, but I don't think I would want to spend that much time traveling just to see it. Too much time in a bus or car. I will be walking there next month, and it will be my 6th time there, but I would not want to go there on a tour.
