My husband & I and another couple would like a guided day trip from Lisbon to Fatima; most interested in the Shrine/grotto & children ‘s home. We will be traveling August of this year. Has anyone had a tour company & guide to recommend recently?
Can’t help with a tour company as we had a rental car. It isn’t a long drive, the roads are good, and there is plenty of free parking by the shrine. The house and grotto are a couple miles from it and there is a free parking lot there too. For what you want to see and if it’s your first time there it would be easy to spend 4-5 hours. Some walking is involved from the parking lots, but it isn’t strenuous.
If you did decide a rental car is an option, the driver needs an IDP.
Thanks we’ll have consider renting a car, still think we would prefer a guided tour if we could spendv5gevtimevwe would like at the Shrine
You might look at Lisbon Riders. We used them for a small van trip to Sintra and our guide was excellent. The company gets good reviews for all their trips out of Lisbon.
We used Portugal Journeys by Peppe last week to Sintra and Cascais. He will work on an itinerary with you. He managed to keep my group of 11 travelers happy so I highly recommend him.
