Golf holiday package

A group of 4 of us were due to fly to Portugal for a week's golf end of September. Due to government advice we were not able to travel. The holiday was booked through your golf travel who booked us accommodation and to save us the hassle booked us flights through Ryanair. As the flight still went ahead your golf travel had to pay Ryanair they are refusing to refund the flight portion of the holiday and I'm wondering if this is correct? On their website it states booking multiple items is deemed a package so should we not be able to reclaim all money? Many thanks in advance.

The holiday was booked through your golf travel

You may have the wrong website - Rick Steves does not book any travel and they do not have any golf tours.

Or you may have copy and pasted a previous email going somewhere else?

Are you in Britain or the US or somewhere else? The laws applicable would vary from originating country to originating country. Some more detail please...

Due to government advice we were not able to travel.

Were you prohibited from travel or advised not to travel?

What is your residency? That will determine what law applies, in addition to what your contract says.

Being that you referenced ryanair, I assume you are a resident in some European country? The large majority of participants here are non-Europeans, so will be at a distinct disadvantage to offer advice.

If the flight flew and there was no governmental prohibition on travel, I suspect getting a refund on what presumably is a 'non-refundable' fare is remote.

That is my $0.002
