Hi, I am flying from the US to Lisbon with a change of planes in London. I believe I will have to go through Customs in England, but will I also need to go though Customs again in Portugal? I am trying to arrange a shuttle to our rental apartment and am trying to figure out what time to arrange it for. Also is 49 euros a good price for a shuttle into town? Thank You for your help. Diana
49€ sounds quite high to me, if it's just a ride from the airport to a location in central Lisbon.
Is the destination really "in town"? If so, is it a particularly difficult address? Are you arriving at some hour in the middle of the night on a major holiday? What kind of "shuttle" is that, a Lamborghini?
Perhaps ride service prices have been inflating like the price of eggs have?
Uber is quick, easy and less expensive than taxis. Skip the shuttle!
You shouldn't go through immigration in London. In Lisbon, you'll go through both immigration (for people) and customs (for things).
The Lisbon Metro serves the airport - perhaps that’s a possibility for you.
When I was in Lisbon a few years ago, taxis were just over 10 euro into central Lisbon (the airport is basically right in the city), an Uber slightly cheaper.
49 euro sounds like you are getting a van, ok if you are a group of 6 people or so, but solo or a couple, take a taxi, Uber if you will have cell coverage.
