Planning on a pre-tour stay in Sintra after arriving in Portugal by air. Any recommendations on getting from the airport to Sintra. We’re planning on using the train to get back to Lisbon the next afternoon.

I would suggest using a taxi or Uber from the airport- Sintra is less than 30 minutes away- taxi fare runs about 35 euros from airport. The only other option is to take the metro to the Rossio station in Lisbon from the airport, then transfer to the train that runs up to Sintra. Kind of a hassle if you have a lot of luggage.
