Getting a carseat in Faro (aka has anyone used Amazon or found a superstore in the Algarve?)

Hi!!
We aren't bringing our own carseat on our month-long trip b/c we don't need it for the airplane or entire trip. BUT the first 2 weeks we will have cars and need a seat for our 1 year old.... We are thinking of either renting a carseat or buying an inexpensive one on Amazon. We fly into Faro--- perhaps we can find some type of Carrefour?

1. IS there a way to rent a carseat if you're not renting a car?

2. Has anyone used Amazon into Portugal (specifically the Algarve)

3. Is there some type of super store in the Algarve?

Obrigato!

Here's some info on a large shopping mall in Faro. You might want to try Googling thrift shops to see if can get a used one.

It's shops are along covered galleries around an open central square with cafes and outside seating - great for a rest in the sunshine before hitting the shops again! There are also hairdressers, opticians, drug store ('parafarmácia'), travel agents, dry cleaners and banks and of course, a large Jumbo Supermercado for all your food shopping.

Just asked a friend of mine who lives in Sintra about Amazon. They don't have a Portuguese website. He said that most people check combined product + shipping charges on both the Spanish and UK sites and order whichever is cheaper. He also said it's easier and less of a hassle for tourists to buy one locally in Portugal.
