Met a woman who said the Nazare funicular wasn't working earlier this year. Anyone been there recently and know if it's working now?

It’s running today. It’s open 8am-midnight.
Edited: took the funicular to the upper town today. It costs 4€ round trip and is CASH only. It runs every 15 minutes.

It was not operating on Thurs 28 Sep 2023 and the schedule showed that it was not in operation the entire week. I don’t know why.
