From the airport to Lisbon

Lisbon's Metro red line takes you from the airport into town. Are you looking for a hotel also? Rick's Portugal book lists quite a few around Rossio station and the Baixa neighborhood (connect from red line to green line on the metro).

If you are asking for somewhere to stay where you are central to everything, we would suggest Hotel Florescente, located on a pedestrian street and walking distance to many sights as well as all forms of transportation. We usually take a taxi there from the airport and they drop us off around the corner from the hotel. For two people plus carry-ons and backpacks the cost was not much more than public transportation, which is our usual method of travel to and from hotels.
