From Lisbon to Porto via Fatima

Hi All,
Please advise us regarding our plan for Lisbon/Fatima/Porto. We have a total of 4nights/3days, and we will land in Lisbon.

After two nights (one day) in Lisbon, we plan to catch the train to Fatima for half day, then go onto to Porto for one night. The next noon, we will go back toback to Lisbon for another half day before we fly out to Barcelona the next morning.

Please advice!

Thank you very much.

Take the bus from Lisbon to Fatima (runs hourly) via the stop named Cova de Iria, as described in Rick's Portugal guidebook and at http://lisbon-portugal-guide.com/lisbon-transport/Lisbon-to-Fatima-Transport.php. The train station Fatima-Caho de Macas shown on some maps and train schedules is a half-hour drive away from the Basilica, per Google Maps. Continuing on, buses from Fatima run hourly to Coimbra, a good city to visit, and from there you can get train service to Porto.

With this short time available, I would just cover 2 not 3 places as you will spend more time travelling than visiting. I would suggest that you need longer in Porto than half a day.

Hi All,

After looking at the cost (car rental), and the time, I have agreed with you that I should stay at Lisbon, take a half day trip to Fatima. It will be better.

Thank you
