Free time from tour in Lisbon..what to see

We are taking a tour in early November that starts in Lisbon and we will have free time late afternoon into evening on two days. Most sites close early so I’m not wanting to buy advanced tickets in case we can’t get there in time.
However, if we DO get done early, what are chances we can get into either St George or the Monastery of Jeronimos without buying in advance?
Thank you!!!

If you are a fan of Banksy's art, there is a very interesting museum in Lisbon with reproductions of his works along with detailed explanations of the art and what happened to the originals (sold, painted over, protected in place, etc). We found it fascinating and well worth an hour or 2.

We are starting a 3-day tour of Lisbon on May 15, 2027, with AMA waterways. We are planning two extra days ahead of this tour. Are there areas, small towns, or resorts within 50 miles of Lisbon that we could visit and stay overnight?
