My husband and I will be in Lisbon in mid November and wanted to do a food and wine tour. In Rick's Portugal book, he mentioned the Eat Drink Walk tour. This is 130 euros a piece so is $300 worth this trip? this is a 5.5 hour trip but that seems a lot for tapas/wine.
You might research Taste of Lisboa and Culinary Backstreets. Taste of Lisboa will be much more reasonable in cost. I did a tour of the Campo do Ourique area when I first moved here and really enjoyed it. They have several to choose from.
Culinary Backstreets is more expensive but has a great reputation.
Culinary Backstreets was amazing and well worth the price. It was slightly over half a day and we ate and drank our way through Lisbon. Celia was Spectacular and took us to places we would have never found and to foods we would never have tasted. You should b e in pretty good condition as there is a lot of walking up the hills, however that is broken up by the stops to taste with awesome views.
Finally, she told us about "Point Finale" across the river and about a 15 minute walk along the river from the ferry port (it's almost below the huge Monument you can see from Lisbon) with it's yellow and blue decor and fabulous outside dining along the river. It's a stop we make whenever we visit Lisbon. This is a case of you get what you pay for.
