We are ending a Tripsite Biking/Barge trip in Metz, France on September 6, Saturday in AM and are trying to get to Porto on that date. Wanted a train from Metz to Luxembourg to catch a flight from there in AM. We can’t seem to find a train schedule for 0600 departure. Ryan Air has a flight at 10:15, we would like to take. Help please. Thanks!

Have a look on the bahn.de website - it shows several direct trains leaving around 6am, which would get you to Luxembourg station in around an hour. Make sure you choose the right start and end towns.
PS : the heading is confusing, your query is about the train journey, not your flight to Porto.

you barge trip ends in Metz on Saturday and you want to get to the airport in Luxembourg City that very same day in time to fly with Ryanair at 10:15?
Will you bike from the station to the airport?
What time does your biking barge trip end? Will you be off the barge at that time?
Don't want to discourage you but it sounds a bit tight to me...
Using your date and looking for the earliest connection from Metz-Ville station to Findel aeroport in Luxembourg, using the oficial CFL Luxembourg transportation website, the earliest connection is too late.
It leaves Metz at 7:33, only gets as far as Bettembourg because of rail works, change to a train replacement bus L60 as far as Luxembourg central bus station (at 08:50 - could you get a tai and pray?) where you change to another replacement bus L30 to Munsbach Culture Centre where you finally get bus 361 to the airport, arriving 10:23, 8 minutes after your flight left.
If you could travel the previous night you could get there in time. Leave Metz-Ville at 21:33, change (5 minutes) to a bus 511, change again at Bonnevoie, Lycée Bouneweg PE (4 mins) from one platform to another onto the bus 223 to the airport at 22:58. There is an Ibis near the airport.

on that Saturday Flix bus has an Italian bus scheduled to leave Metz Avenue de l´Amphitheatre at 6:15, arriving Luxembourg P+R Bouillon (Bus Parking) at 7:15.
I haven't looked at how to get from there to the airport but the CFL Luxembourg website or app will tell you. Don't know if your bikes would go on the coach.

your question isn't really a Portugal or Porto one - it is really transportation from France to Luxembourg. You might get more folks seeing your post in the France Forum.

Will move post to France site. Bikes are left on barge. Arrival on Sept.5th to Metz, but leave barge looking for train to Luxembourg before 0800 on the 6th of September. Thanks.

I don't know why CFL show such a convoluted route when bus #29 runs direct to the airport from Luxembourg Gare Central and DB show an earlier train from Metz (bus from Bettembourg) at 0633, arriving Luxembourg at 0747. The next bus is at 0805 arriving at the airport at 0822.
Irrespective that is still very sub standard for a 1015 flight and leaves nothing at all to chance.
Flixbus have 3 night buses from Metz to Luxembourg Bouillon Park and Ride- very grotty times but they exist.
Going up the previous night does seem the best option by a long chalk.

so if you arrive at Metz on Friday can you get off and get a Friday afternoon or evening connection to Luxembourg - take off all the stress?
