Longtime reader, first time poster... young adult daughter is heading to Portugal solo in the first week of April and a friend has suggested she may want to cancel her trip due to significant flooding, road closures, mold in buildings etc... this is the first I've heard of this level of flooding issues there so thought I'd see if anyone knows anything about what things are looking like in Lisbon & Porto vis a vis this concern and whether a trip in early April might be impacted.

The long term damage from the rains and storms was minimal in both Lisbon and Porto. There are some smaller cities between the two that have more long term damage that will take a long time to recover from.
The high speed trains have resumed between the two main cities and the one highway that was impacted is soon to be fixed, if it hasn’t already.
By April, there will be little to no continuing impact in Lisbon and Porto.
