My husband has always wanted to visit the Azores as that is where his great great grandfather was born. Does anyone have any advice for us regarding best areas to visit and thinks to be sure not to miss? We have our international flights booked for July 2019.

Are you planning to visit just one island of the group? If not make sure to book direct flights well in advance, otherwise you will be having risk to jump on a flight with a few hours wait in Lisbon or Porto :) that happened to a group of a friends, when 2 of them had to take the flight with a layover on the continent, flight was overbooked.

Thank you. I had planned to wait until we arrived to book island hopping flights. I'll rethink that now.
