Here places - beaches particularly - have bonfires, especially Alacant has a big festival, and food of course.

He is the patron saint of Quebec where I live. Tomorrow most stores will be closed, there will be a parade and fireworks, and lots of picnics and outdoor activities. Woe betide any large establishment which stays open on St-Jean-Batiste day!
