My husband and I will visit Southern Portugal the third week of August for a week. Would you suggest Faro or Olhao? Hotels suggestions would be appreciated (3-5 Star) Would prefer near the beaches. Best Wishes, Larry

Accommodation is difficult to find in Portugal this summer, as tourists avoid Tunisia, Turkey etc. It maybe more a matter of taking what is available rather than where you want to be.
Faro is a working city, not a tourist destination. Olhao retains its working port, but there are apartments etc for tourists.
