Has anyone been to Faro. It would be a stop for a day or two before going to Seville then to Coimbria

Good Morning from Quinta do Lago, next to Faro,
I wouldn't stay in Faro as there are several options much more enjoyable along the Algarve. East of Faro is Tavira a wonderful historic town, close to the beach (not on it) and worth a day. Next is Olhao, which could be a nice day or two stop, along the water...great restaurants, etc. Good friends stayed there for a week and loved it. West of Faro is Lagos, definitely worth a day or two. Nice old town, beautiful cliffs and beaches. Lastly, Carviero is a beautiful small town, on the beach with cool cliffs, caves and views.
