Hi,
We'd love to be able to hop in a taxi (or get an Uber) when we are too tired to deal with public transportation in Porto/Lisbon, but we are a family of five. Can we even get taxi's or Ubers large enough for 5 people?

I am in Lisbon right now. We are a family of four. I have not been in a Uber yet that could seat more than four passengers and we are very tall and I would book van if they were available. The largest Uber we had was a luxury car that cost twice as much as a regular Uber but still only seated four -- just a tiny bit more room than in others. The best taxi experience of the trip so far is one we just had tonight going from Alfama to Lapa. The taxi happened to have a third row of seats that were folded down. We initially went toward it because it looked bigger and were pleasantly surprised when the driver hopped out and set up the third row of seats. He was waiting in front of the Fado museum and the drivers of the two smaller taxis in front of us looked at us and said not a word when we headed toward the third car in the line. They knew that we would have suffered in their cars.
