Fado in Porto or a hop on hop off tour?

We have one more day in Porto. Never seen a Fado performance. Which do you recommend? Which bus tour company would you suggest?

You may have difficulty finding fado during the day, if I’m reading your post correctly. They are quite nice but usually late at night.

We decided on the six bridges boat tour. It was a nice break from the crowds. Fado is offered every night in Porto and it was within walking distance from our hotel. At six o’clock for only one hour and it cost 19 euro. Lovely day!

My husband and I will be in Porto in a few weeks. Do we need an advance reservation for a Fado performance?

The rowing club on the south side of the river in Gaia, does a Fado performance upstairs in their boathouse that is earlier in the evening...we went to it and then had dinner afterwards. One of the rowers is also a Fado guitarist so he plays and a woman who is a local Fado singer, sings. It's an ongoing fundraiser for the rowing club and they do it most evenings. Just walk over there and they usually have a table set up in front of the rowing club, selling tickets. It's a very intimate performance and they serve wine to you as well. We really enjoyed it!
