Fado in Lisbon.

Anyone have any thoughts on where I can go and listen to fado being performed in a Lisbon cafe or restaurant? Do fado clubs serve food? I am looking for suggestions for places where a small group of 4 Americans will be welcome and not feel out of place. Thank you.

My favorite is Duque da Rua located on Rua da Duque.
Easy to remember, hard to forget.
Food and drink and magic.
The locals claim this is the real deal in Fado.
It's small - make a reservation.
Try the green wine - E muito born!

We just returned from 2 weeks in Portugal. I love Fado! One small local place we booked on The Fork.com is the
Restaurant:
Canto Da Atalaia
R. da Atalaia 13

Can you go for just drinks and music or do you have to have dinner there?

In 2019, I stumbled upon a small family run restaurant called Labios de Mosto at Rua da Oliveira ao Carmo nº51 near Largo de Carmo in Chiado (near the back of Rossio Station). There were frequent Fado performances starting early evening, no reservations needed, no cover charge, no pressure at all to buy food or drink. I had a decent, reasonably priced food and wine and enjoyed the performances.

CD in DC,
I did some searching and it appears that Labios de Mosto succumbed to the pandemic. The last reviews are dated 2019.
There is a pizza place at that address.
I am sure a number of places I remember from 2016 are also gone.
