Our flight home was canceled, so we have an extra day on Lisbon! We just finished the Heart of Portugal tour, so we already saw a lot here in Lisbon. We already did a pre-tour trip to Sintra. What should we do with our unexpected bonus day?

Do a day trip with a small group to Nazare. Obidos...that's fun ans something different or visit a winery in Alentejo with a your since it's easier with a car. Cool tours or inside Lisbon both offer a nice variety. Used them both.

Or a day trip to Tomar with the Knights Templar. Not sure if this one is still offered but cabtour might offer.

We ended up climbing up to Sao Jorge’s castle, and taking our time going back down to find a lunch place. My husband reminded me that it’s a “bonus day” and anything we do is a bonus!

Did you see the Tile Museum or the Gulbenkian?
Or, find a place with a lovely view and have a three hour lunch with lots of wine. Very Portuguese!
Get lost in Alfama, if your legs and knees can handle the hills. Find a place - maybe the lookout in Graça and watch the sunset.
After a fast paced tour, having a relaxed day might be the perfect thing to do.
