Evora - A good Monday day-trip?

My husband & I are trying to plan our last leg of our 16-night Portugal trip in early May, 2023. We will be arriving to Lisbon from Sintra on Sunday, 05/07, planning on this to be our "settling in" day. We probably will wander around the main areas & stop in TI centers to get our bearings.

Since most, if not all, museums are closed in Lisbon on Mondays, we were thinking of taking a bus for a day-trip to Evora. We enjoy spending most of our time exploring outside. Visiting cathedrals is not a high priority for us. Would it be wise to plan this day-trip on a Monday?

A quick google revealed that the museum will be closed but the Chapel of the Bones and the Cathedral will be open. If this is your only chance to visit Evora go! We spent several nights nights there in the Parador and really enjoyed this small historic city.

Thank you, Suki. We actually do want to see the Chapel of Bones, so thank you for pointing this out! I will research Monday's hours of operation.
