We just spent several days based in Estremoz. It’s about 30 minutes from Evora and Elvas. A great location to explore the cork, olive and wine growing area of the upper Alentejo. We booked a marble tour in Vila Vicosa, a cork factory tour near Evora, and explored many castles and forts in the area. Estremoz has an amazing Saturday farmers and antique market. Lots of fun. The largest private tile museum is also here. Well worth some time to visit.
