eSIm question

Going to Portugal for 4 weeks and want to get an eSIm. Airalo offers 2: MEO and fofo. We'll be in the Algarve for the most part. MEO seems familiar but we haven't seen fofo. Any thoughts?

I see you are looking at the country specific esims - so you will ONLY be in Portugal for a month. I know nothing about the difference in service between the two, but I personally would not get the MEO. It offers a lot of data but only for 15 days. And you can’t top up, so after 15 days you would be forced to buy and install a new eSim. I would go with one of the Fofo packages valid for 30 days. I use about 1.5 G/week (my average over the last 2 years of using Airalo). So I would probably get the 5G/$10 and then top up with 1G or 2G toward the end of my stay as I saw where my usage was. Saves installing a new esim.

The app, once you log in, will show you how much you have used.

I used a Vodaphone physical sim and found it quite satisfactory . Check out their Travelers programs. I don't know if they offer them a eSims

I see that Vodaphone now offers an e-SIM for Portugal that has voice as well as data. It can also be used elsewhere in the EU and the UK. Has anyone here used that one yet and can let us know how well it works? It is on special now for 20 Euros (regular 25 Euros). It gives 25 GB of data, 500 minutes of calling within the EU and UK and 50 minutes international calling.

We will be in Portugal for 2 weeks. I have Verizon, but their international plans are expensive at $10/day that you use it vs $100/month. Is the eSIM advised. I have an iPhone, husband has a Samsung so the e-SIM would just be for him. I'm a little lost on how to manage my phone with the built in double SIM.
