End of cruise in lisbon

Our cruise ends in Lisbon Portugal on September 20th. We stay in Lisbon till September 22 and have to fly home to the United States. We have never been to Lisbon or Portugal before any ideas where to go where to stay bring our luggage and get to the airport. Thank you.

First off, the cruise ship will provide transportation (for a fee) to the airport. And, of course, lots of taxis will be lined up. Lisbon/Portugal have lots of great sites. Get Steve's guide book for Portugal or go to the public library . While there get some travel DVD for Lisbon. Lots to see and do.

Book a hotel in Barrio Alto or Chiado , enjoy this fabulous city. Next time skip the cruise and spend much more quality time in Portugal. Your hotel can arrange airport transportation.

You may want to reach out to that almost extinct species called Travel Agent for help if it is difficult to use online tools to select hotel or AirBnB of your choice. What was recommended up thread is a very good advice. Pick a good hotel or AirBnB in Baixa. It is flat ground. Central to many transportation options

Bolt is extremely cheap and plentiful in central Lisbon.

For airport drop off and local sight seeing, you can use a combination private driver plus guide too.

But DIY is very easy in Lisbon too.
Watch out for pickpockets in trams

My brother and his wife have a place in Nazare. When flying in or out of Lisbon, they stay at the Hotel Roma. You can access it and the airport by the subway system. All you need to do to make the reservation is to either go online at their website or use booking.com. You can do this.

Also, ignore the poster who said, "next time skip the cruise." Unsure why people insert their own bias on others..... I hope you have a wonderful time.
