We were in Porto for Easter 2019 and learned one of the cultural traditions
Almost all the restaurants were closed

Where will you be?
Some places have traditional Easter festivals and parades, whilst you wouldn’t know it was Easter in the tourist resorts of the Algarve. Out of the main cities and tourist resorts, most shops close on Sundays anyway.

In the Lisbon a lot of things are closed and there are no huge events. However, the Spanish love to come here for Easter - especially here in Cascais. So, there are little pop up huts selling local items, and it’s busier than normal for that time of the year. All the restaurants are open as it’s a huge day for family lunches.
