My husband and I are thinking about a guided, electric bike tour to Sintra-Cascais in August (on a Saturday). We feel comfortable on bikes and have done the e-bikes before but still worried about the crowds on the roads and our safety. Comments appreciated, thanks!
Hi
I saw a bike path between Cascais and Guincho beach when I traveled in the area.
The bike path starts in Cascais near Santa Maria lighthouse (first lighthouse after the Cascais fort / citadel near the recreational marina) and ends at Guincho beach.
The bike path in some sections is separated from the road, almost as a raised sidewalk curb ( road level at intersections).
It seems like a nice path to take however it can get busy in the summer time.
Also be aware that the path follows beside the ocean and sometimes the wind from the ocean can be quite strong.
Here's a link to a e-bike tour in Cascais - I didn't use them so no recommendation, just info.
Happy travels
