My friend told me that it's just I very dusty in Lisbon. What to do in that case if it's too Dusty?. I was thinking of wearing scarves that you can kind of cover year mouth with your nose. As anybody experienced the dust?
Is it possible to stay away from the dusty areas?
I don’t know where your friend got her information...
I’ve lived right outside of Lisbon for three and half years. I can remember maybe 2-3 times when the wind was blowing dust from the Sahara desert and it was dusty. Even those times, one could see a strange color to the sky indicating dust. But, I have never had the sense of needing to cover my face.
Not noticeably any dustier than any other old European city. What time of year are you coming?
The western Portuguese coast is breezy, but I haven’t noticed that Lisbon is dusty. You don’t need a scarf in my experience.
Ask your friend if she was staying near construction sites. First time I ever saw a complaint about dustiness in Europe ...... lustiness perhaps, but not dustiness!
We stayed in an apartment in the Alfama district for a week in 2011. We were on the 3rd floor with a very nice view over the river. Dust was not a part of it.
