We will be driving from Tavira to Seville for a brief overnight stay there. Any particular suggestions and /or considerations for making the round-trip drive?
Take the direct bus - much easier than trying to sort out parking in Seville. I tried to drive into Seville last week when passing through and the traffic was hideous.
If you are driving, make sure that you are covered for Spain, as most Portuguese car hire contracts don’t permit taking the car into Spain without payment of an additional fee.
Thank you Jennifer. I did not know of a direct bus and that sounds very appealing. Where can I find a schedule, cost, etc? Our hotel is in Barrio Santa Cruz...is the bus station in that Vicinity? Thank you!!
Both Eva bus line based in the Algarve (eva-bus.com) and the Spanish Alsa bus line (alsa.com) run two or three busses per day between Tavira and Seville. Note that there is a one hour time difference crossing between the two countries.
