Other people have asked this question but I don't see any responses so I thought I would give it a try.
We are looking for recommendations for a day wine tour in the Douro Valley. I want more than just a stop at a port winery. I would also like a stop at a regular winery. The boat tour inclusion is optional for me. Any suggestions for a good company to go with?
Any help is much appreciated.
We did a day tour to the Douro with Cool Tour Oporto and were very pleased. We visited a regular winery with tasting, had lunch, did a short boat ride, then a port tasting. It is a long day but I felt I got a good sense of the Douro at a good price.
I’ve used the same company in the Lisbon area and was pleased, also.
One caveat - this was four years ago so you might want to read more recent reviews.
Last month we booked a tour through Airbnb experience - "Wine Enthusiast" and it was terrific - small group, great food and small family owned wineries. It included a boat tour too.
