Douro Valley drive: Pinhao to Pochino

I'm planning 2-3 days in the Douro Valley with Pinhao as a home base. I thought a drive from Pinhao to Pochino/Quinta do Vale Meão with a morning stop at Favaios would have interesting sights and vineyards. Plan to return to Pinhao via N222 from the south.

Anyone take this journey? Suggestions for stops - sights and vineyards? Road condition? Are there alternative explorations in the area more worthwhile?

That will probably work.

We did a seven day river cruise on the Douro and it was wonderful. That is the best way to see the Valley.
