We will be in Pinhao for 4d in early June. We would like to take a day trip cruise along the river. Any suggestions on which cruise/s we should look into? Thank you.

We also are looking for a one way cruise from Porto - to Pinhao and then spend a night on our own .
Then next day - train back to Porto at our leisure, hopefully seeing some Porto lodges (or Quintos?) along the way.
All the cruises I see are r/t ! Has anyone done this?

From Pinhão, there are at least two companies that do river cruises. To my knowledge, they are just a couple of hours long. I’ve done them twice and the two hours was plenty of time for me. The river gets a bit monotonous after a while, IMO. If you google Douro cruises Pinhão, I’m guessing you can get the names of the companies. The boats look to be pretty much the same. In early, June, it’s likely possible to just show up and be able to get on the next boat.

We just returned from 3 nights in Pinhao. If you are there for 4d, you will have opportunities to walk up and buy a ticket, even though a lot of bus tours come through.

Thank you for the replies. It is always nicer to be able to purchase tickets in the moment when we know the weather conditions. I appreciate the input.
