Can anyone recommend a restaurant for dinner in Alcobaca?
We are going there to see the monastery. Rick Steves recommends the municipal market, but we will not be there on a market day. Are there other interesting sites in Alcobaca?

Alcobaça is very small with the monastery being the only real attraction. I’m guessing there are small typical Portuguese restaurants. You might try google maps and search for restaurants. I find their reviews much better than Trip Advisor. Once word of caution though. Be sure to check closing times as the smaller places tend to be more for lunch than dinner.

Since you intend on being in town for a while, there is a large, free parking lot a few minutes walk from the monastery. It’s Estacionamento da Cova da Onça, Av. dos Combatentes.
We weren’t in town for dinner so can’t help with restaurants.
