Greetings - we have just learned that the RS tour hotel Descobartes in Porto cannot accommodate us past the tour. Does anyone have a recommendation for someplace similar in Porto? We wanted to stay on for a few days to see more of the City. Or maybe that isn't even a good plan? Advice welcomed!

I stayed at Moov Centro, really like the location. It was a basic no frills place, in RS book.

+ Hair dryer for the person who uses one.
0 Kitchen is bit small. We cooked an omelette for breakfast, but would not attempt dinner.
- Small bathroom and shower. It really needs to be 15+ cm wider.
- No A/C. It would have made one night more comfortable.
- Double bed. We prefer queens."

Porto is a beautiful city with lots to see, so a few days after the tour would be great. You might have a look at Hotel da Bolsa which is in a nice part of town. I found the room to be very modern and comfortable, the staff were wonderful and they serve a good breakfast. As I recall, there's an agency across the street from the hotel that sells tour bus and excursion tickets.
