What a delightful, delightful day we spent with Daniel exploring the Douro Valley (and thanks to the recommendations here in this forum we were able to connect with him)! We worked together to plan a day that was perfect: wine and port tasting at a charming winery, a curated delicious lunch in a restaurant that had spectacular views (felt very much as if we were in an eyrie!), and a short cruise on the river. Daniel is charming, engaging, interested and interesting. We learned so much from him. He was the perfect host, totally attuned to us, and rightfully proud of the region he calls home. This was an indulgence we would highly recommend.
