Day Trips from Lisbon

I have booked a trip to Portugal at the end of May and am looking to plan a couple day trips out of Lisbon. I’m basing myself in Lisbon for the entire week and already have a trip to Sintra planned but would like suggestions on other places to go and what companies you booked with (I was planning to book through Viator unless someone has other suggestions). From what I read, Porto seems too far for a day trip but if anyone has done it, I would love to hear your experience.

Thanks!
Jenna

You really can do trips on your own.

We stayed in Lisbon and rode the train up to Sintra to visit the Pena Palace.
One day we rode the bus up to Obidos - lovely little village.

We didn't make it to Cascais, but we heard it is delightful !

We have used Viator successfully in the past. Check it out, but also compare how easy it might be taking the train.

Did that to Evora years ago and didn't need a tour.
