Is it possible to do a day trip to Combria out of Porto? Trying to limit how many times I change hotels. TIA
You can drive, take the train or bus. Trains are quicker and more frequent, taking about an hour.
Bonnie - A day trip out of Porto merits a visit to the wine region nearby, the scenic Douro Valley for wine tasting and exploring. May I suggest the town of Lamegofor a visit. Another option can be a visit to the town of Guimaraes, which is 1 hour away from Porto.

Thank you for letting me know that it is possible to do day trips out of Porto. I am planning on 5 days in Lisbon and 5 days in Porto. Thank you to those who responded!
You're welcome Bonnie. Here are some wineries in the Douro valley you might want to review in the link below. Let me know if you need any other info regarding Lisbon and Porto. In Lisbon, nearby day trips would be Sintra and Cascais.

The Douro Valley is wonderful. We loved our 7 night river cruise.
The In Patio Guesthouse B&B is wonderful for staying in Porto. Book early, it only has five rooms.
