Hi! My wife and I are going to be in Lisbon in late May and want to take a day trip to Evora. I see Viator and Cooltour Lisbon both offer trips which include travel for about the same price. Does anyone have any knowledge of these companies and preferences? I guess we could take the train or bus ourselves--wew usually are self starters but we will be travelling a lot and want to have a relaxing day trip. Any advice? Thanks!

I've used CoolTour both in Lisbon and Porto and was very pleased with both tours. However, I did their Sintra trip in Lisbon - not Evora. It was nice because they pick you up at your hotel or vacation rental, so you can really just sit back and let them do everything.
That said, taking the train to Evora from Lisbon is also very easy. You do need a taxi from the train station to the walled city in Evora, but the taxis are readily available.
It really depends on your preference.
