Day trip from Lisboa to Évora

We are traveling to Portugal early April. Flying into Porto for a few days and train to Lisboa for a 5 day stay.
We are definitely going to Sintra for one day. My question is, would Évora worth a day trip? it looks charming and would be a wonderful visit I am thinking. The train is 1.5 hours each way and not expensive. If you have done this, how long should we stay in Évora? Thanks in advance for the help :-)

I did a day trip to Evora from Lisbon using the train and it went well. I think we spend about 4-5 hours there. There are some good Roman ruins there.
