We will be in Lisbon in November and plan to spend a day in Sintra. Of course we could get the train and make our own way around the attractions but does anyone recommend a day tour? I assume it would be easier and more efficient to be driven around them (given there seems so much to do there - I had thought about staying a night there) but for a cost of course.
Any thoughts?
Thanks, Louise
My favorite trip to Sintra was on a day tour from Lisbon. It was so nice to have easy transport and not have to fight the crowds on the bus or find a taxi/Uber. There are many to choose from. Do a bit of research to see which ones go to the palaces you want to see. You cannot see them all in one day.
I'm going in a few weeks. I signed up for a half-day tour to Sintra through Context Travel. We meet at the train station. I will stay after the tour is over since it's only a half day and I want to see more. I've used Context Travel for tours in Europe before and found their guides top-notch. https://www.contexttravel.com/cities/lisbon/tours/sintra-half-day-tour-from-lisbon
