Customs document "Guia de Circulacao"

Traveling to Spain and Portugal this September. "Bought" a car in Spain using Eurocar TT, and will drop it off in Portugal. Is the customs document Guia de Circulacao obtained from customs at the boarder when I enter Portugal?

The 'seller" ( lessor?) is not able to answer this question?

Leased cars usually come with the permissions necessary to drive nearly anywhere in Europe, but not toll stickers. For the exception in Portugal, https://eurocartt.com/faqs provides this info. Since border stations are not often staffed in the Schengen agreement countries, you should expect to look up the office closest to where you'll cross the border. Also plan around possible closures around lunchtime and weekends.

Important: Specific information for Portugal
Under Portuguese legislation, TT vehicles can stay in the country for no longer than 90 days. A non-renewable document entitled “GUIA DE CIRCULACAO”, signed and sealed by a commissioner for oaths, is required and must be obtained from customs. You will also need to acquire a transponder to pay for the right to use toll motorways. We advise you to do this at the border or at one of the customs offices in the main cities and ports. Customers failing to comply may incur severe customs penalties.
