Recently traveled from Lisbon to Porto on the Alpha Pendular 1st class. Purchasing tickets was easy on the CP website. Because we did this early, we got a promotional rate.
Train left on time. Found storage space for our two carry-ons. (Thank you Rick for pointing out that we can pack for three weeks in two carry-ons and two small backpacks.)
Seats were comfy, nice and quiet cabin. For the three hour trip we had to use either of the two bathrooms: they are small, think airplane size. Lots of liquid on the floor, no toilet paper, no water from either faucet. Lesson? Bring your own wipes, as Rick suggests.
Train arrived 25 minutes late in gusty and rainy Porto.
