We are interested in doing a tour and wondering if anyone knows which farm/estate and factory is best to tour? Does anyone know the names and locations of options. Tour companies do not seem to provide the details.

Some tour operators include Cortiçarte as the Cork factory , it's a relatively modern factory established in 2000.

We went to RG Rovisco Garcia on the RS Portugal tour in 2023. It’s also a winery.

We went to a cork factory tour in Azarjua called Corticarte Arte em Cortica. Very interesting and well done. Talks about the process from harvesting times, collection, processing, and various products. Depending on when you're there, you may not be at harvest time, but you can certainly see along the various roads evidence of harvest. This factory is in between Evora and Estremoz on the N18 road. They have a great factory store there that takes both cash and credit card.
